Hello! - We are
a couple with two kids: a 28 y.o. girl who left home to leave in a little appartment
by herself and a 22 y.o. boy who lives with us.
My name is Roberto. I am
a 57 y.o. newly retired as a station master and now I am actively involveld as
a volunteer in the field of welfare inside a Union Organisation (UIL). My wife
(Silvia) is a 54 y.o. housewife. We are quite young-looking and open-minded. We
are from sicilian origins and we live in a new built (1999) little villa 13 km
away from Bergamo (Bonate Sopra). It is a peaceful 3 storeys house with a front-garden
and a backyard. In the ground floor there is a living room, the kitchen and a
toilet. In the first floor a double-room + a spare single-room available for guests
+ a bathroom. Both the rooms has a large balcony. In the basement there is a single-room
for the boy + a study with a library, pc and hi-fi + a laundry with washing/drier
machine, shower box and wc + a double box for cars, bikes and a scooter.
All the house is well equipped with electric appliances + TV and telephone points.
The village offers nothing special but interesting excursions in the native
village of pope Giovanni XXIII (3 miles away) and the nearby hills, with nice
views of the Prealpi Orobiche and the valleys of the rivers Adda and Brembo +
an amazing view of an old huge bridge on Adda river and the valley below.
Bergamo is easily reachable by car or train.
A railway station is only one
mile away from the house. From there you can easily reach Bergamo, Milan, Lecco
and Brescia (even Venice or the lakes of Como and Garda) for daily excursions.
We would be glad to welcome one/two persons as guests at any period of the year,
but from May to September would be better to fully enjoy the beauty of the spots.
We are just a basic family looking for the chance to experience some tourist travel
and attractions, respectful of other peoples' property and looking for the same
in return. Our kids use to go on their own vacations, so we will ask, in return,
hospitality only for two persons: my wife and me.
