Nous sommes Antoine (ingénieur)
et Clare (prof) Couturié, environ 40 ans. Nous habitons à la périphérie
sud de Bordeaux, dans un gros village appelé Léognan, qui se situe
au milieu de la "région des grands crûs" (Pessac-Léognan).
Nous aimons le jardinage, les marches et les randonnées vélo, la
musique (surtout le "jazz").
La maison est récente, bâtie
sur un grand terrain avec des arbres, à l'orée d'un bois d'un côté.
La maison est très agréable à vivre, 150m2, trois chambres
plus mezzanine, cuisine, grand salon, une salle de bain et une salle d'eau. Elle
est tout équipée (cuisinière, four, micro-ondes, frigo, congélateur,
télévision, adsl...). Il y a un piano. Le jardin est planté
d'herbes aromatiques, salades, tomates ... avec arrosage automatique. Le quartier
est très calme : c'est encore "la campagne"; en
revanche la
maison est située à 1,5km du centre du village, où l'on trouve
tous commerces (un grand marché le samedi matin et même 2 supermarchés
ouverts tous les jours).
Léognan se situe dans la région
de prestigieux vignobles comme Smith Haut-Lafitte, Cheval Blanc et d'autres, non
loin de Sauternes, St Emillion etc... La mer est à 40 mn par voiture, et
le grand lac d'Hostens à 20 mn. Il y a beaucoup d'activité à
proximité : cheval, marche, visite des monuments historiques dans et en
dehors de Bordeaux, festivals et fêtes de village, et bien sûr les
dégustations et visites des chaîs, etc...

We are Antoine (an engineer) and Clare (a teacher), both nearly 40 years old. We live in Aquitaine, in the south of the Bordaux area, a big village called Léognan which is located in the midst of great vineyards ("les grands crûs de Bordeaux"). We love gardening, walking, cycling and playing music (mainly « jazz » music).
Our house is built on a vast area
planted with trees, with a wood on one of its sides. The house is very pleasant
to live in, 150m sq with three rooms plus mezzanine, a kitchen and two bathrooms.
It is well-equipped with cooker, oven, micro wave, fridge, freezer, televison,
high speed Internet connexion ... There is a piano. In the garden we are growing
herbs, tomatoes, salads ..., with automatic watering system. The area is very
calm: it's still the coutryside, although we are located only 1 mile
from the
village center, where you can find everything you need ( a big market every saturday
morning and even two supermarkets open every day).
Léognan is located
in the midst of such prestigious vineyards as Smith Haut-Lafitte, Cheval Blanc
and many others, not far from Sauternes, St Emillion ... It is a 40mn drive from
the Atlantic Ocean and a 20mn drive to a big lake nearby called Hostens. There
are many activities to do in the close area, such as riding, cycling, walking,
festivals and village fests, visiting historical monuments and of course tasting
the wines and visiting the way they are made, and so on ...
Our home is a 150 m square modern building furnished with nice antique furniture, with 3 bedrooms (2 double beds + 2 single beds) plus mezzanine and two bathrooms. It is equipped with facilities (washing-machine, dishwasher, gas, fridge, freezer, television, internet etc...) There is also a piano. We are non-smokers and have no pets. There is a garden planted with herbs, tomatoes, salads etc. (equipped with automatic watering system).
There are many leisure activities to do in the area (going to the sea and the big lakes, visiting the vineyards, cycling, riding, walking, going to several music festivals, visiting Bordeaux and the area and well-known vineyards and historical places like Montesquieu and Montaigne castles..)
