Oak Park is a suburb of Chicago (fifteen minutes to the heart of the city). Below you will find some links to our beautiful city - the best large city vacation spot in the U.S. Our home in Oak Park sleeps six people (plus an infant bed) and has all of the amenities of an upscale home (including central air conditioning). There is a ten acre park right out the back door and wonderful neighbors to befriend and receive information from. Oak Park has the largest collection of Frank Lloyd Wright homes in the world and the Hemingway Museum and Archives within walking distance. There are several Italian markets and restaurants within walking distance (we have two cars which you may use). If you are looking for beaches, Chicago is on Lake Michigan - part of the Great Lakes, the largest body of fresh water in the world. There are free concerts three day's a week at Millennium Park. Michigan Avenue is a world class shopping avenue (sorry New York).
